THE CHALLENGE

Making a University Website Easier to Navigate and Manage

Prescott College’s website served as a virtual extension of the campus, providing students and prospective students with information about academic programs, admissions, and other university services. Its existing Drupal 7 website was no longer providing the level of accessibility, organization, and usability required.

Prospective students had difficulty finding program information and understanding content hierarchies, while content editors lacked flexible tools for creating pages and managing SEO-related content. The mobile experience also needed improvement, making a refreshed and better-organized website necessary.

OUR APPROACH

Modernizing the CMS Around Students and Content Teams

We have moved the website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 and created a more flexible CMS structure. The approach focused on improving the experience for students and prospective students while giving the university’s content team better control over pages and content.

The new Drupal foundation also provided a more responsive and flexible environment that could support continued improvements and an iterative approach to the website.
